What Should i Bring?

In preparation for attending a LAN Party, there are a few things you need to take care of first. This section will help you get you and your machine ready for a weekend of eXtreme mayhem.

We Provide:

• Servers to host all tournaments listed on the Schedule

• ONE RJ-45 100Mbs network connection to the network. 

  • If you wish to connect a second computer, you will have to pay a second entry fee.

• Power

• Table space

• Access to Restrooms

• Access to the Hotel Swimming pool (must be over 18)

You Provide:

• Your Computer System:

  • including all the peripherals and accessories you'll need. CPU, keyboard, mouse (trackball or whatever), monitor, *headphones*, power cables (duh), Ethernet card (100base is best), and a category 5 Ethernet cable (at least 25 feet). A lot of stuff will be available on-site like cable ,NIC cards and headphones. Setup starts Friday night at 6pm. 

• Your software:

  • Copies of all the games you're planning on playing, including the ones that aren't currently installed. (Having a slim CD case is very handy here.) Also make sure any patches you'll need are either on your hard drive or on disk. Check the games page for version info. Most patches and recent updates should be found on the central file server.

• 10/100 NIC (Network Interface Card/LAN card)

• Cat 5 network cable (recommend a minimum of 25 feet)

• Power strip/UPS

• Headphones are HIGHLY recommended.*

Recommended:

• Use the LABELS provided for your equipment. The Bragg Fragg cannot assume any responsibility for lost or stolen goods. 

• Extra network cable.  Please DO NOT bring any hubs.  They will not be allowed on the network.

• Cash for food, bail and/or emergencies

*We would prefer that you use headphones, however the final choice is yours.  Just remember it is a hotel so the noise must remain at an appropriate level on into the wee hours.
